Is this enough food and exercise?
3 cups of decaf green tea
5 cups of 16 fl oz of water
1 large banana
1 protein bar - 90 cals
1 medium salad - romaine lettuce and spinach, tomatoes, 3 oz of roasted turkey, 1/2 cup of celery, 1/8 cup of shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese, and less than 2 tbsp of dressing that equals 100 cals
I haven't had dinner yet. It is still early afternoon. But it will probably be about 4oz of baked salmon with some fresh veggies on the side. I do plan on going to the gym and doing at least a hour of cardio plus weights for about another half hour. I do cardio about 5hrs of cardio a week, weight train 5 days a week, and do CORE workouts at home 6 days. I don't want to starve my body. Do I need to eat more?
And does the whole 1200 cal/day to prevent your body from starving count the calories that you burn in the gym? Say if I eat 1200 cals, go the gym and burn 400 does that mean I need to really eat 1600 cals to not go in starvation mode or is 1200 cals enough?
Sounds like you need more calories. And yes, it's supposed to include what you burn at the gym, so you need to eat more. Keep in mind that even 1600 is still really low. You should find a calorie calculator and figure out what you need to stay exactly where you're at. There's a million of them online.
